We are a locally owned and operated family business located in Launceston that specialises in all aspects of commercial and private demolition work, asbestos removal, and civil works.
We are licenced to remove both friable and non-friable asbestos, and have Certification in International Standards ISO9001- Quality Management Systems and ISO45001- OHS Management Systems. We are striving towards ISO14001- Environmental Management Systems
We also undertake mould remediation, following site-specific guidelines prepared by Hygienists and Environmental consultants.

Incorporating
Decon Developments Pty Ltd has purchased the C2 Demolition business, and incorporated it into our operations. With over 15 years of experience in the field, C2 Demolition has built a reputation for providing safe and efficient demolition services. The business, locally owned and operated by a family of passionate and dedicated professionals, has a team of experienced demolition specialists and a fleet of heavy-duty machinery that can handle any challenge that may come their way.
By incorporating C2 Demolition, Decon Developments is now able to offer its clients a comprehensive range of demolition services, ensuring that every project is executed safely and properly, giving you the peace of mind to sit back and relax while they do the dirty work for you.
Our History
Nick Sherriff joining C2 Demolition
Nick Sherriff started with C2 Demolition in 2016 as Foreman, and then became the Operations Manager in 2019. Nick’s experience as a builder and asbestos removalist added another dimension to C2 Demolition, in that more varied and intricate work could be undertaken. Nick held an A class (friable) asbestos licence, which enabled C2 Demolition to undertake A class asbestos removal.
Some of the more varied work undertaken by C2 Demolition while Nick was employed:
- Removal of the Super 6 asbestos roof across the vast Door of Hope Christian Church complex at the former Coats Patons woollen mill in South Launceston;
- Roof removal and strip out on the commercial property in York Street Launceston, to allow for extensions to the building and construction of the Change Overnight apartments;
- Splitting of a two-storey building at Riverside High School;
- Strip out of the old CH Smith building in Launceston, prior to redevelopment of the site.
Establishment of Decon Developments Pty Ltd
Nick Sherriff left C2 Demolition in December 2021, to establish Decon Developments Pty Ltd, which would specialise in the removal of A class (friable) asbestos.
Some of the more varied work undertaken by Decon Developments Pty Ltd:
- Removal of friable asbestos from the boiler house at the former Coats Patons woollen mill at the Door of Hope Christian Church complex in South Launceston;
- Removal of friable asbestos from the boiler house at the former Tas. Board Mills site at St Leonards;
- Removal of friable and non-friable asbestos from Waverley Woollen Mills at Waverley;
- Removal of friable and non-friable asbestos from St Lukes and St Vincents Hospitals;
- Removal of friable and non-friable asbestos from various schools;
- Asbestos removal and demolition of fire-damaged houses and units;
- Concrete cutting and removal;
- Clean up of asbestos-contaminated sites;
